First Day Of School Photos

oriental trading, school supplies, back to school
As an Oriental Trading Ambassador, I was provided product for this review. As always all opinions are honest and solely mine.

My baby starts school tomorrow!!!  Her uniforms and supplies have been prepared for a while.  She is both nervous and excited which is pretty much how this mama is feeling.  In order to have some fun before the real work of school comes, we had our very own back to school photo shoot at home.  In case I haven’t shared before JustaBXgirl isn’t really a morning person.  I know that when we wake up in the morning and get ready for school I’ll be lucky to get a few true first day photos.  By doing our photos ahead of time we can be smiles all around!

To get our photo shoot together we reached out to our friends at Oriental Trading.  I’m not sure if you know but they have school supplies and EVERYTHING you could need to stage the best back to school photo shoot.  Not only did I get the cutest props for the photo shoot but I was able to get a few things to include in our teacher gift box, some personalized pencils, and some fun learning tools that we will be using throughout the school year.

These ‘All About Me‘ Sheets are probably my favorite item we’ve gotten for back to school.  Now, let me share that it is a good thing that this set comes with 30 sheets because it took JustaBXgirl about five times before she could finish it.  I plan to have her do one again at the end of the year to see how much she’s changed.

I’m also looking forward to seeing this LEARN sign sitting in JustaBXgirl’s classroom.  We will be sending it in the teacher box I’m putting together to send in the next few weeks to thank the classroom teachers for all they do.

JustaBXgirl was really excited about these photo props.  I took the sticks off of them to hang them on the wall.  Let me tell you, these are good quality props.  It took a little umph to get the sticks off.  I was a little worried that with the amount of force I used that it would leave a hole in the props but the quality is so good that it didn’t.

Looking at my baby girl in these photos makes me wonder where the time has gone.  It seems like just yesterday I was carrying her in my belly, then my arms.  Now I hold her knowing that we are getting closer to the time I won’t be able to carry her any longer.  Her legs hit my knees when I pick her up and she can barely fit in my lap but she will forever be my baby.

Looking at her ready to start this new chapter keeps me focused on the adventures we have ahead.  Here’s to wishing all of your littles the best first day ever.
