What A Woman Wants – Gift Guide

gift guide, holiday gift guide, what a woman wants, for her
I have received many of these products for review purposes. As always opinions are honest and completely mine. This post also contains affilitae links. That means if you purchase something through the links I may receive a small compensation at no additional cost to you!

When we went to visit Santa the other day I was thrown back.  Santa asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I drew a blank!  How is that so?  I know there are a million things I would like but I couldn’t think of even one in the moment.  I’m guessing you might find yourself in the same position.  Too often while planning the perfect gift for our family and friends we neglect ourselves.  I’ve compiled this list (many items I have and love) to give you some ideas on what to ask for this holiday season.  And if all else fails, feel free to pick these up for yourself!

armitron, #onewatchmanyfaces

Armitron – I have never been a watch person but I always wanted to be.  I don’t know there’s always been something about a good timepiece that said together adult to me,  Maybe that’s why I didn’t have one.  I never felt like a together adult.  Before I had JustaBXgirl I used to wear a bracelet daily.  I stopped when I had her because I would hit her with a dangling charm or leave an impression on her skin from leaning on my bracelet.  As she’s gotten older I have been introduced to the beautiful timepieces from Armitron.  I now have three.  They are all beautiful, classic and get this, AFFORDABLE.

Natural Fit Designs– You might recognize this shirt as the one I wore to the MomTrends Holiday Soiree.  Listen, I don’t do much working out.  I could blame it on my schedule but we’re friends so I’ll be truthful with you.  I’ve never had to work out before.  I used to do yoga a few times a week and once took a stab at zumba but other than that I’ve been well naturally fit.  As I’ve gotten older and my fitness has changed I’ve just gotten lazy. I do however love some good workout clothes.  These are really cool and as you saw by my holiday soiree look they don’t just belong in the gym.

Yogi Surprise Box – This is a great gift for yourself because you don’t know what to expect. It is a subscription box for all my people trying to find their inner zen.  Take a look at what was in my box that I just recently opened!

PatchNYC Porcelain Owl– I stopped buying myself things that could break for a long time.  I stopped buying myself things that were pretty but I didn’t need.  I stopped treating myself as good as I did others.  That is stopping.  When I see something I like I no longer start talking myself out of it.  Now I make a decision on if I will get it for myself now or later. This tray is something that last year I would have walked by because it is not something I need.  Now I walk by it daily and smile because it is beautiful and reminds me that we get wiser over time.

twisted wares, screw it, smart ass hanging towels

Twisted Wares Towels – This is the one I have hanging on my stove but they have so many fun and somewhat inappropriate sayings you have to check them out for yourself. While technically something else the whole house uses I like looking at it and smirking because even if it’s incognito I can still be sassy at times!

eyebuydirect

EyeBuyDirect – I used to spend hundreds of dollars on one pair of prescription glasses.  Not anymore.  Now when I need or want a new pair I head to a place I know I can find style and savings.  Can I also share that if you’re like me and spend the majority of your day looking at a screen you NEED their digital screen protection?  I wasn’t sold on it until I tried it but now I can really tell the difference between the pair of glasses I have from them and ones I have from other places.

sunbeam renue neck/back wrap

Sunbeam Renue Neck Wrap– When I put this on all I can think is Sunbeam, take me away. It is like being wrapped in a warm cocoon that melts the tension out of your body.  If I sound like I love it that would be because I do.  I’ve been using mine since the summer and have been aching to share this one with you. You know I struggle with taking time for myself.  This allows me to feel like I’m rejuvenating my temple while still getting things to do as I wear it and work on my computer.

ken burns, jazz the story of american music, jazz greats, jazz music

Ken Burns Jazz: The Story Of American Music– Can I tell you a secret?  When I received this I just knew I was going to give it to my dad.  That’s until I took a gander at how many different artists are included.  I do allow him to listen but this is all mine.  This 5 CD set has 94 songs of some of the greatest Jazz to be made.  From Ethel Waters and Duke Ellington to Count Basie and Billie Holliday.  You will find jazz artists you know and others you wish you were introduced to sooner.  Throw in early bedtime and a glass of wine and you might forget it is a Monday!
