November Reading Roundup

November Reading Roundup

I said this year I was going to spend more time on myself.  I’ve done that by going back to basics.  I’ve started doing a lot more reading for myself and not just to JustaBXgirl.  With December coming up I will be sharing 25 Books til Christmas that I will be giving to JustaBXgirl as her countdown for Christmas but in this month’s reading roundup I will be sharing more adult reading options than normal.  Don’t worry there’s still a few things for your littles.

Full Service Blonde – Megan Edwards

This is a prequel to Getting Off On Frank Sinatra. I haven’t read that one yet but I was happy to read the prequel and be introduced to Copper Black.  The story was a great read and I would have loved reading about Copper Black’s Las Vegas sitting poolside in Las Vegas.  I’m heading to the library next week to see if they have the next part because I’m looking forward to getting to Copper’s next adventure.

Christmas In London – Anita Hughes

Consider yourself warned, don’t read this book hungry!  If you’re looking for romance you have opened the right book.  Anita Hughes has painted a lovely picture of London, love and the holidays.

Indescribable 100 Devotions About God & Science – Louie Giglio

This is our current bedtime storybook.  JustaBXgirl asks questions about EVERYTHING.  This is a great way to introduce answers to your littles while at the same time teaching and reminding them that all things are possible through and because of God.

Goodnight Stories For Rebel Girls – Elena Favelli and Francesca Cavallo

This book is going to be my new go to baby shower gift.  I wish the title didn’t say it was for girls because I want everyone to read about the women included.  I loved reading about outstanding women I knew and even better learning about women I didn’t know. This book is a great reminder that rebel girls come in every walk of life from princesses to roller derby queens!

Bring Her Home – David Bell

This was a great read.  I sped right through it finishing more than half of it in one night. I can admit some of the twists I saw coming while others I did not expect.  I couldn’t wait to keep turning pages while still not wanting it to end.

Best Day Ever – Kaira Rouda

I’m starting this book tomorrow! I thought about saving it for my next roundup but after reading the excerpt I didn’t want you waiting.  I love a good suspense novel.  This seems like it is going to do a great job of reminding us that picture perfect isn’t always perfect!

Book Of Judas – Linda Stasi

When the review on the cover is from Nelson DeMille I have to pick up the book.  It bridges history, religion, and suspense and I am here for it all. This is a sequel that can stand on its own two feet.  I’ll be picking up the first of the series soon.

Computers For Seniors – Chris, Carrie and Cheryl Ewin

My dad recently mentioned wanting to learn how to use the computer. Now he knows basics and can get on Facebook but don’t ask him to do anything else on the computer.  This is a perfect way to introduce him into more.  It breaks things down into 14 lessons from setting up your computer to internet safety.

And as always I try to share the fun.  Enter the giveaway below.  You can win four of the featured titles.  These make great gifts for the holidays or a perfect addition to your own personal library.
