Toy Fair Reimagined: Toys To Make You Smile

Sadly 2022 saw Toy Fair canceled again. I was all set to wallow in my own misery when I was brought back to the resilience and joy of the toy community. My inbox started chiming with invites to check out what some of my favorite brands were up to over Zoom, Google Meets, and Microsoft Teams. Do you have a favorite video conference app? I think Google Meets is mine. Anyway, it might not be the traditional way but I’m still here to get you excited about toys that have recently reached the shelves or are coming soon.

Of course, this list is not an end-all and be-all. I saw soooooo many items that we can’t wait to add to our collections that I couldn’t fit them all here. Plus, this was a limited number of brands that I was privy to check out. As we learn about the fun, we will be sharing. You can also check out my recent Easter post to get more ideas of the fun in stores now.

There’s way too much good stuff for me to go in-depth on everything. I’m hoping to share most of these again as the products are released and we’re able to get our hands on them. Feel free to reach out with any questions you have on anything I share below.

Playfoam Sand – We are loving these sets. I have shared the Sundae one and will be sharing others soon.

Express Your Feelings Sensory Bottles – We have the original Sensory Bottles from Hand2Mind but of course, JustaBXgirl thinks these must be added to our collection as well.

Helping Hands Snack Pals – These are so cute. Perfect additions to play kitchens and so many learning activities in the fun!

Solar System Puzzle Globe – We’ve had the Puzzle Globe for years. Can’t wait to add the solar system.

STEM Explorers Domino Dash – JustaBXgirl loves watching people set up and knock down dominoes on Youtube. This brings that action home!

Latchkits Yarnimals – How awesome are these? You literally get to create your own plush!!! Oh, and there will be a Koala and Care Bear coming out!

Stepping Stones – Photos do not do this justice. We’ve been using these at home and are loving them. I cannot wait to share more about the different ways to put them into everyday use and create fun games to go with them.

Wobble Board – We have the regular size Rainbow Wobble Board and I didn’t expect it to have so many uses and play options. I’ll be doing a full review on it in a few weeks but couldn’t leave it off this list.

NeeDoh Cool Cats – JustaBXgirl is obsessed with cats. And with NeeDoh. This is a purrfect blend of two loves.

NeeDoh Ramen Noodles – This is another fun find for our toy kitchen. and the possibilities for our fidgety friends are endless!

The Noble Collection Jurassic Park Chess Set – The Noble Collection never fails. Their products are detailed, gorgeous, and durable. They have a lot of really fantastic items coming out featuring some of our favorite titles. I had to share this one though because it blew me away.

There’s Been A Murder – We are here for all the mystery games. We just got this in our hands and are already planning our next game night.

Sequence Stacks – I love me some Sequence. Now there is a card version!!! Yup, this will be coming with me everywhere!

Okay, as you can see, there are some good things out (or coming out). The thing is, this list is barely the tip of it and that’s just for the few brands that I was privy to check out. A few that I didn’t have pictures to share are the new Glo-Up Girls dropping this summer, some really cool Numberblock items from Hand2Mind, so many amazing games coming in June from Playmonster, and seriously just a lot of fun games, toys, and kid stuff being rolled out now until the end of the year. The world might be far from normal but that doesn’t fun doesn’t have to be sacrificed. In fact, we need fun more than ever and so do our littles.
