Winter break for JustaBXgirl starts tomorrow. We are officially sleeping past sunrise for the rest of 2018. Woohoo. Are you as excited as we are? Have you filled your break with fun plans yet? I wanted to share with you all of the fun we had when Momtrends invited us to spend the day at Liberty Science Center last weekend.

We’ve been wanting to get back to Liberty Science Center since our first visit there. This time we recruited some friends to come with us and we got on the road. We were kind of bummed that we wouldn’t be able to dig for dinosaurs this time but we were excited to hear that we would have the chance to be detectives at the new Sherlock Holmes exhibit.

We were blessed to be invited to attend the blogger breakfast where we got a peek into some of the fun programs coming up at LSC for 12 Days of Science starting December 26th. We got to check out two of the upcoming adventures, the Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream Show and participated in a Toilet Paper Blizzard.

After the breakfast, we headed to check out the rest of Liberty Science Center to see what had changed since our last visit. We were excited to visit the new Doc McStuffins exhibit. The exhibit is perfect for Doc McStuffins fans of all ages but especially those of the pre-school demographic. The exhibit is open now through January 27, 2019, so make sure you head there soon. I love how much opportunity there is for free play in the exhibit. There are doctor coats, stethoscopes, and even some doll and pet patients in Doc McStuffins’ backyard clinic and McStuffins Toy Hospital. And of course, you will find a few of Doc’s favorite friends hanging around.

If you’re little has outgrown Disney Junior you might want to head over to the Sherlock Holmes exhibit. JustaBXgirl and her friends had a blast being Jr. Detectives. Don’t worry parents, you get to play too. There’s a murder mystery to be solved. Our little detectives had fun running around stamping their detective pads while the adults enjoyed soaking in the forensics at play. Will you be able to solve the case? You have until May 27, 2019 to find out.

After checking out what’s new we headed to the planetarium to check out the Laser Wonderland. It was a beautiful laser show set to holiday music. It had us jingle bell rocking in our seats. We even learned a few new Christmas songs. Did you know Dominick, the Donkey? How am I almost forty and never hear that song before?

We had looked forward to checking out the Black Holes show but got the times confused and got there too late. The rest of the afternoon was spent checking out some of the fun we had visited in the past. At least an hour was spent by JustaBXgirl and her crew in the Infinity Climber. They got to touch live animals in the Eat and Be Eaten exhibit. I love visiting the naked mole rats. They’re so oddly endearing. We did the touch tunnel, the rock wall, the Dream Machine and visited the bees. The bees are another of my most favorite things at Liberty Science Center.

We ended the day cheering on two of our friends as they walked on top of a skyscraper after JustaBXgirl built a city and tested it in a wind tunnel. JustaBXgirl is looking forward to being tall enough to go on the skyscraper walk herself. Overall it was a day of #LSCWinterFun. We cannot wait to go back. When was the last time you visited?
