March Watchlist – One for you, One for them

March Watchlist – One for you, One for them

We received access to some of these titles for review purposes. As always, all opinions are honest and my own.

Only two movies on this month’s watchlist! What am I thinking??? We spent a lot of time this month rewatching old favorites, Miraculous Ladybug, The Deep, Bridgerton, and of course, JustaBXgirl spent lots of time watching Youtube. Still, I could not let a month go by without sharing two new titles that did grab our attention and time.

Turning Red – Believe the hype. This movie is really that good. It is one of the best coming-of-age films that I have ever seen. There are more layers to this cartoon than I can even begin to peel! The humor is great. It’s serving both parents and littles. This is a movie that can entertain from the young Disney fans to the tweens that are too cool for cartoons all the way to the grandparents that are judging us, parents, while not paying attention to their own parenting stumbles. At the end of the day though, it is a movie about love. It is a movie about family, friendships, and learning to be yourself.

The King’s Man – Okay, I have to admit that when I watched this I did not know that it was part of a series! Yup, much less did I know that it was a prequel. And honestly, I think this allowed me to enjoy the film as I had no preconceived opinions about the franchise. The cast alone pulled me in. Ralph Fiennes, Samuel L. Jackson, Julianne Moore, and more! It is also based on a comic book. I get it. You knew these things. I did not. I enjoyed the movie for what I thought it was, the history of the very first independent intelligence agency. Set in the historic WWI era, the lethal yet impeccably trained spies take on the ultimate mission to save the fate of humanity.
