Easter Basket Ideas: Outdoor Fun For Everyone

We received items in this basket for review purposes. As always, opinions are honest and my own.

So, in NYC right now our weather has been having mood swings. We are clinging to the sunshine hoping it decides to stay front and center soon but in the meantime, we are enjoying the few hours of reprieve from the cold and wind that we get. Over the past weekend, we had an over seventy-degree day and JustaBXgirl got JustaBXgranpda to take her outside to the playground. The joy and exuberance that she came home sharing is the inspiration behind this basket. Long gone are the days when littles were left to play outside for hours at a time exploring the world around them with little to no supervision.

Today’s children find their adventures within a screen for the most part. This basket is a throwback to a simpler time. It will get your littles and you wanting to put down the screens and go have some fun outdoors.

Wham-O Pocket Frisbee – How many hours did you spend as a little playing frisbee? The fun came as much with dropping it as it did with catching it. I love the pocket frisbee because it doesn’t take any space. You just fold it up and throw it in your pocket or bag. And now you can get some really cool designs that you won’t want to hide in your pocket for long. I love how affordable the classic 3-Pack is on Amazon.

Wham-O Superball – JustaBXgirl’s first word was BALL! So, I guess you can say that she’s something of a fan of them. We live in a one bedroom apartment with lots of STUFF so ball playing indoors is rarely a possibility. We are fortunate to live across the street from a beautiful big park so we get to play ball there. And seeing how the Superball can bounce 75 feet we need the space!

Orbeez Squeezables – Now this one is hard to give up to the littles. I actually keep one of these on my desk. I had a surgery last year that made it difficult to use my right hand for a little while. I’m fortunate enough to be a leftie but I definitely noticed the difference as the nerves in my hand took time to rehabilitate. The Squeezable helped me through that and now that I’m pretty much back to normal I still use it because it just feels wonderful. JustaBXgirl has fun playing with it too. Now, it might not seem like a fitting toy for outdoors but it can also help keep tempers down and have littles refocus at the playground.

SWAK – Days, before I got to check these out at Toy Fair JustaBXgirl, was asking me if she could get them all. They’re really cute charms to hang off bags and belt loops that give kisses. She gets a kick out of making them give really long kisses. How do they fit into the outdoor theme? They go on the bag of supplies that you take with you to the park!
