My Biggest Finds at the 2019 Biggest Baby Shower

Last week, JustaBXmom and I had the pleasure of attending the Big City Moms Biggest Baby Shower at Metropolitan Pavillion in NYC.  I had gone last year when Amari was 3 months old and learned about so many really cool baby items so I was super excited to see what this year’s event would entail. Just as always Big City Moms did not disappoint.  I loved that there were many familiar brands that we all know and love such as Dr. Brown’s and Baby Magic Skin Care.  Checking out what they had in the works for this upcoming year was really exciting.  Then there were some really cool brands that were unfamiliar to me that I had a chance to take a look at.  Virtually opening my eyes to some really inventive items that are here to make parenting so much easier.  I might just have to have another baby soon. So let’s talk about some of the items that caught my eye.

Nomi Highchair By Evomove – Ok, when I first took a look at it I was like “what the heck is this thing?”  It looked so space aged and not very handy.  Then I got a demonstration.  This chair is designed to grow with your baby through 3 stages of life.  The Nomi highchair is one chair that easily transforms from a raised infant bouncer – to a high chair – to a chair all while ensuring that your child is in the most comfortable and ergonomic position from newborn through adulthood, holding over 300 lbs.  The Nomi chair has a very sleek design that won’t take up lots of space for those who are challenged in that department.  I am also very into multi-functional items, so this one definitely does the job with the ability to last you all the way through your little one’s teen years.

GB Pockit+ – I am all about convenience, especially when it comes to travel… which I do a lot of.  For humans so tiny, you really have to lug around a lot of crap for them.  Because I am constantly on the go, I am always in search of a lightweight functional stroller and the GB Pockit+ really serves this purpose. With its exceptional design innovation the GB Pockit+ is one of the smallest folding strollers and ideal for traveling. In only two steps the lightweight stroller turns into a package small enough to place it in the overhead luggage compartments on planes and trains. It’s even small enough to carry around in a bag.  With a comfortable reclining seat, the option to use it as a 2-in-1 Travel system  (its compatible with all Cybex infant car seats) and the benefit of a self-standing fold, the Pockit+ is an urban travel genius. You might know that this site has been a fan of the Pockit for years! Here’s a review that JustaBXmom did when it first came out. We’re hoping to check out the latest model soon.

Tiny Cup from EzPz – I had the pleasure of briefly meeting Lindsey who is the visionary for this adorable cup.  When I walked up to the booth with Amari she put the tiny cup into his hand and he lifted it right to his mouth.  Amari is now transitioning from bottle to cup and it was just the perfect size for his little fingers.  The tiny cup is made of soft silicone so it doesn’t hurt his new little teeth and I can put just the right little amount of juice in it.  After I left the booth I just had to look up the line and of course, they have tiny bowls, mats, and little silverware as well.  This is the perfect item for your little one when he is transitioning to solids.

If you didn’t get to make it to this spring Biggest Baby Shower don’t worry, they will be back in NYC for their fall event in November.  They will also be popping up in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Chicago, and a few other major cities.  If you want to know if they will be in your area, check them out here.
