4 Kids Gift Ideas

class gifts, birthday gifts, friends gifts
We received these items for review purposes. As always, all opinions are honest and my own.

The end of the school year is coming! Yay, I have been counting down the days until we are finished for the year. Now, don’t get me wrong, I adore JustaBXgirl’s school. I love hearing about her adventures and I think the staff does a remarkable job of creating a special environment where our babies feel loved, respected AND they come home smarter every day. One thing I won’t miss from school (other than the eaaaaaarly mornings) is all the random birthday parties we get invited to attend.

Not just me? My child, in case you didn’t know, is a social butterfly. That means that she gets invited to just about everyone’s parties. That means we have to figure out A LOT of gifts. Sometimes it is easy to figure out what to get them and other times not as simple. I’ve realized that the best type of gifts to go for are the ones that other people won’t necessarily purchase. You don’t want to get the most popular toy and end up being one of five people that brought that gift. Or you don’t necessarily want to bring the birthday child their “favorite” toy because chances are they will have everything from the line. That’s happened to us a few times where JustaBXgirl has ended up with multiple versions of something because people know she loves X, Y or Z.

Here is a list of four really fun, really cool, really awesome ideas for the next party your little gets invited to attend be it a school friend, a summer camp friend, a sports team friend and an imaginary friend because some of these your little is going to ask to keep!:

Moosh-Moosh – You know we’re fans of something when we talk about it more than once on the site. I talked about these on a Holiday Gift Guide but think it is important to share them again. These plushie pillows are one of the softest things you will ever squeeze. They are perfect for every age and there are a number of different versions and sizes so you can find one for everyone. Oh, and did I mention that even the largest versions can be found for under $20??? Yup, these are a go-to for us. We’ve used them this year for a 1-year-old, 2-year-old and 6-year old’s party. For Christmas, we even gave some to teens. And of course, you can find these all over JustaBXhome!

Yoshi’s Crafted World – I’ll be honest.  I think this gift might be more for the parents than the birthday child. Yoshi always makes me smile and this new game is lots of fun. It really had me contemplating getting a Switch for JustaBXgirl lately. Seriously though, if you know the birthday child has a Switch this is a great choice. It’s not a violent game so the parents can’t get mad and it is cool enough that the child, regardless of age will enjoy playing it. And it’s a two player game.

Cutie Cuffs – You might remember seeing me walk around Toy Fair with one of these on my wrist. They are so cute and a perfect gift because it doesn’t matter if a little already has one, they have two wrists! Unicorns are really popular so this is a way to bring home a magical pet and since these don’t take up a lot of space they are a thoughtful gift as well. I would probably make this part of a unicorn themed gift bag or basket adding two or three other unicorn gifts to it.

Lil’ Flockers – I won’t lie. I think this made the list because I want someone to get all 18 of these for JustaBXgirl. And when I say that I really mean that I want someone to get all 18 of these for me! I do have a #FairyTale40th quickly approaching and these are well within theme! Seriously though, these are adorable and they are flocked which to me always makes a toy look more special. Each blind bag comes with a flocked unicorn and a sticker.
