Chances are if you’re reading this you’re a mom. Chances also are you are interested in being your own boss or have already made the jump into entrepreneurship. Trust me you are in the right place. Even if you’re already the captain of you own ship you can always use some additional tips because a real #MomBoss knows there are always ways to improve and grow your business and brand.
Mom Boss by Nicole Felicano founder of MomTrends will quickly become your new best friend. That is what reading this book really feels like. It is like the moment you begin flipping through the pages you are welcomed into this sort of Mom Boss Night In with your new sister circle that is willing to answer all of your questions and even share answers to questions you haven’t yet asked.
This book has something for every potential Mom Boss. Many of the tips you can use even if you aren’t building a brand but simply running your home. One of my favorite parts is Chapter 5. I was one of those girls that would look forward to taking every quiz in every fashion magazine. I can’t express how excited I was to find one right in this book. And can I say that the quiz got me right!? I came in as a Solo Artist with Team Mom nipping at my heels. Let me know which category you fall into when you take the test. I enjoyed reading about all three types of mom bosses.
You got a peek into the awesomeness that is Nicole in last week’s Mompreneur Monday but once you read this book you will be stalking her to become your mentor. She’s already my mentor in my head! I plan to use this book not only to continue building the JustaBXmom brand but to FINALLY launch some other things I’ve been putting off.
This book is full of inspiration. Yet, it is so much more. I love being inspired but I also need action items and this book is full of them. I love reading the stories and learning how other mom bosses made their success a reality. These women were very detailed in their sharing and that is such a gift. Using their stories and road maps will help a lot of us to our destinations. Don’t forget though that each journey is unique so it is really important to pick and choose what works best for you.
One commonality for a lot of these women is a secret you already know. It takes a village to raise a child and your business in many ways will be your new baby. Having a village to help support you as you grow is important.
Don’t take my word for it but if you are serious about being your own boss and possibly boss to others this book is a GREAT resource. And if you’re still not completely sold try to catch up with Nicole as she is currently on her book tour. Join her when she comes to your city and see how amazing she is for yourself.
