Celebrate National Watermelon Day – #Recipes

  • I love celebrating random days.  And since I love watermelon I have to celebrate National Watermelon Day.  Of course it would be in the middle of the summer, since nothing says summer like a great slice of watermelon.  And when you pair it up with Cascade Ice that makes it even better.  You already know that when Cascade Ice arrives in the mail JustaBXgirl quickly claims it for herself but this time around I made sure to put the Blueberry Watermelon flavor aside to taste first.

It was so good that I felt some #momguilt and decided I had to share it with her.  Do yourself a flavor and let go of the guilt and keep it for yourself!  And even more so when you’re celebrating summer with friends this weekend try one of these yummy recipes.  Or try all three!  These are good for parents and littles alike.

We received Cascade Ice for review purposes. As always opinions are honest and solely mine.

    ·       Blueberry Watermelon Refresher: Make their mouths water! Start with Cascade Ice Blueberry Watermelon sparkling water, next muddle strawberries and blueberries to release the flavor and serve over ice. If you want to make this an adult beverage, add a splash of sparkling wine. Garnish with a slice of watermelon and a fun straw!

    ·       Skinny Watermelon Lemonade: Impress your guests with this delicious and healthy twist on lemonade! Begin with Cascade Ice Organic Lemon Lime on ice, stir in lemon juice and throw in some frozen watermelon cubes. Garnish with a lemon wedge and enjoy!

    ·       Watermelon Mojito: Your next go-to drink for summer! First, muddle some mint with a splash of lime juice. Pour Cascade Ice Blueberry Watermelon over ice and a few frozen blueberries to enhance the flavor and keep the drink extra cold. Garnish with mint and lime for the perfect touch and serve!
