As an Oriental Trading Brand Ambassador I receive product for review. As always all opinions are honest and solely mine.

Apparently, in our home, I’m not the only one having trouble saying goodbye to Halloween.  I was ready to switch out the decor to get ready for my favorite holiday of the year, Thanksgiving when JustaBXgirl vetoed it. I was able to take down the cobwebs with only limited resistance.  However, she wasn’t ready to get rid of Jack O’Lanterns so we found a way to merge the two and keep us both happy.  I’m a warm weather love so it is really difficult for me to get excited about short days and cold weather. If it wasn’t for the festivity of the holidays I would probably hibernate until spring.

Fortunately, Oriental Trading helps me find ways to stay entertained and create a welcoming feel for when we entertain friends and family over the holiday season.  JustaBXgirl has been in touch with her inner artist since we’ve started collaborating with Kewl Kidz Paint and that means at home we are doing much more arts & crafts as well.  My walls are running out of space for her masterpieces so this month I’m blending her latest art with this beautiful trio of pumpkins I found on the OT website.

I love coming home and seeing this seasonal view welcoming me reminding me that this is a season of family and harvest.  I love these trees even though I keep finding leaves around the house.  Good thing they don’t crunch like the real ones.  I figured it would be a great activity for the littles and not so littles over the holiday to take a moment and write down some of our blessings as we wait for Thanksgiving dinner to be ready.  I don’t think they’re making it to dinner though because JustaBXgirl has taken to using them to decorate her desk and as background props for her latest pretend adventures.

Do you decorate for each season or each holiday?  Are you into the cold weather fun or are you more like me and need warm weather to get a spring in your step?
