Movie Review: Orion Picture’s Every Day

Movie Review: Orion Picture’s Every Day

every day movie, movie review, rhiannon and a
I was invited to attend a screening of the movie as press. As always, opinions are honest and solely mine.

Every Day is a beautiful love story of a first love. You root for it even though you know it can never last…or can it?  This is one of those movies that stays with you even after you have left the theater.  This is the love story of Rhiannon and A but it is so much more.

A wakes up daily as a new person.  Never the same person twice.  Never too far from the one before.  When A meets Rhiannon it is through the eyes of her boyfriend, Justin. After spending a special day together A cannot let go of the connection felt with Rhiannon.  Now rather than living each day creating as few ripples as possible for the body’s owner, A longs to renew the connection with Rhiannon.  It takes her a little while to believe that A is telling the truth but when she does she opens herself and her heart up to the possibilities.

To me, that is what this movie is really about.  It is about possibilities.  It is about how our decisions in life are more than just about ourselves. As Rhiannon and A grow closer Rhiannon grows further away from the others in her life.  As they grow closer, A begins to make a heavier mark on the lives interrupted.

The closer the two get the more difficult their situation becomes.  There are many layers to explore in this movie.  I mean, imagine waking up a new person every day.  Never knowing what it is like to have a tomorrow because Evey Day is your only day.  And then…And then meeting someone that makes you yearn for a way to touch tomorrow.  Isn’t that what we all want?  Someone to make us look forward to tomorrow.

There is so much I want to say and so many discussions I want to begin based on this movie but you know I don’t do spoilers. So, you won’t hear it from me.  I will say however that one you see it I am here and ready to dish.  I’m also open to reading the book the movie is based on if anyone is interested in a virtual book club!
