We were invited to attend the show as media. All opinions are honest and solely mine and JustaBXgirl’s.

We had so much fun going to see Shopkins Live! Shop It Up!  JustaBXgirl decided to be Strawberry Kiss and let her bestie borrow her Cheeky Chocolate costume.  Once the wardrobe was decided we were on our way to Staten Island to spend the day surrounded by color, music, imagination and friendship. I’ve been to a lot of children’s shows but I have to share that going to this one was different.

JustaBXgirl’s bestie screamed out, “I love you Bubbleisha,” the moment that the Shoppie took the stage. Both girls spent a good part of the show dancing in the aisles. I had been worried about how the Shopkins would be brought to life but it was so well done.  This show had it all.  It had shopping, fashion, music, mystery and more!

One of my favorite things is that there was no real star of the show.  Of course, some of the Shoppies and Shopkins are more well known but that didn’t make the show all about them! The show highlighted why everyone is important to Shopville. The show reminded our minis that it is important to stick together and support each other.  We also received lessons in the importance to pay attention to details and why we should be kind.

Yes, I’m aware that I’m starting to get deep and I just said how much fun the show was.  Don’t mind me, I’m always looking for life lessons to share with JustaBXgirl. To me, when you can pull a life lesson from something this fabulous it is icing on the cake! JustaBXgirl spends hours playing with her Shopkins at home.  They are one of her go to toys and regularly find their way into other pretend play universes.

As a mom the show made me further appreciate the brand.  It was very well done.  The pace kept the audience involved between music and acting.  It was very much as if they brought the toy world to life.  And even better once the show was over my little Shoppies were given the opportunity to attend a VIP Meet and Greet dance party.

I’m elated that my baby was able to share this not only with her BFF but some blogger buddies as well.  I really have a feeling that this is one of those experiences she will carry with her as she gets older.  I know, I know, you’re saying, slow down lady.  Seriously though.  There was so much joy in the theater.  It was palpable. During intermission, JustaBXgirl, a few of her friends and some other children started playing Ring Around The Rosie.  It was completely organic and reminded me that no matter what is going on in the world, magic and goodness still exist.
