Before I had JustaBXgirl it was normal for me to get a call from friends saying they found cheap airfare somewhere and we were going out of town. That’s how I ended up at Busch Gardens one random weekend in September 2008. I remember having so much fun and planning to return soon. The way life is set up I haven’t been back since. But that is going to change!
A few weeks ago, I opened my email to see an invite to a Busch Garden Animal Ambassador event and that made me think of all of the fun I had on that very spontaneous weekend almost a decade ago! I didn’t hesitate to RSVP and I must admit it was one of the best events that I’ve been to in a while (and I have the pleasure of going to a lot of events). Put it this way, we were one of the first families to arrive and one of the last families to leave.
We got to meet some really cool animals and their really cool ambassadors. We even got to go on a virtual roller coaster ride and let me tell you I much prefer that type of experience. JustaBXgirl kept reminding me that this way I wouldn’t get sick on the ride! She is oh, so thoughtful.
The Busch Gardens staff were some of the sweetest people I have ever met and were just so nice to JustaBXgirl. They took their time to answer her questions about the park and the animals. They listened as she shared her love of adventure rides and my aversion to them. They shared information about the park and the animals she could see on the safari and even gave us the opportunity to try a virtual safari.
We won’t be traveling this spring break but if you are we suggest you add Busch Gardens to your list of places to visit. We are already planning our trip there in either December or January. JustaBXgirl was really trying to get us to go over the summer but we have a few family trips to take then so we decided to add Busch Gardens onto her next birthday trip.
