Holiday Gift Guide: What Moms Need (& Want)

Holiday Gift Guide: What Moms Need (& Want)

I can admit that I am not good at making wishlists for myself anymore. I almost wasn’t going to do a Mom (adult) gift guide this year because I didn’t have anything jumping out at me but then these items passed through my inbox and I knew I had to share with you. I might not have known I wanted these but now that I have them I know you would love them too!

The Comfy – I get cold really easily. Sadly, I can’t live under my blanket but The Comfy lets me feel like I can. It’s a blanket hoodie and oh so very warm. I’m even tempted to wear it out at times! Seriously though, thanks to The Comfy, I ‘m a lot more productive because I can sit at my desk and still be wrapped up like a baby. Oh, and it has a pocket! You don’t realize how helpful it is until you have it!

Rescue Guard Survival Pack – This is one of those things that you hope you never need but you sleep a lot better when you do. JustaBXgirl and I live in a major metropolitan city that doesn’t sleep. I mean, anything you can need or want is just about always at our fingertips. The thing is even here, I want to be prepared. I was pregnant during Hurricane Sandy and remember watching the news and realizing that we were not prepared. I love that you can put this in a corner and hopefully never think about it again, while knowing if you do ever think about it, you will be prepared with food, water, and all the supplies needed including a 61-piece First Aid kit for up to 12 days for a single person or 6 days for 2 people or 72 hours for 4 people.

Jam Leather Products – I learned about this brand at the Babbleboxx Holiday Party recently and I thought it was perfect for last minute gifts. The products are unisex so they’re great for any hard to shop for people on your list and the quality is great. They have an array of products on their site but right now the key ring is my favorite.

NOGU – I’m not sure if you’re familiar with this brand but it is another new find for me. Bracelets are one of my favorite accessories. I love the variety of styles that you can find on the website and I love that the Crystal Kites line stands for FREEDOM, POSSIBILITY & HOPE. Not only are you inspired by the meaning but the purchase of a bracelet from the line fifty percent of sales will be donated to Cystic Fibrosis Canada in support of research, clinical care, and advocacy for those living with Cystic Fibrosis.

Pink Karma – It’s been a few years since fashion parties were on my agenda but I’m happy that the invites are starting to happen again. At a holiday party for The LA Fashion Magazine, I was introduced to the Pink Karma brand. There were a few pieces that jumped out for me. I was even able to take home a beautiful pair of earrings similar to these String Him Along ones.

Google Home Hub – We got a Google Mini last year and have used it every day be it for fun or for function. We just recently added the Google Home Hub into our household and she fits right in! You can do everything you did on the Mini and so much more. Since this device has a screen you can access videos. I didn’t realize how much I missed this until I plugged it in. Being able to ask Google to pull something up on Youtube is really helpful as well. JustaBXgirl recently asked me if we can move this Google device into our bedroom and send the Mini to the living room.

NOCO Genius Boost – This is something that is right up there with the survival pack. You buy it and hope that you never need to use it but you feel comfort in knowing you are prepared. We were having trouble with our battery over the summer. We ended up having to get a new one. That wasn’t fun. But in the day or so that it took us to get it replaced we were very grateful to the kindness of strangers and AAA for giving us a needed boost. I put a mental note to pick one of these up and then I never got around it. I’m telling you, Virginia, Santa is real! The email came in asking if I would be interested in trying this out and I truly jumped for joy. Not only does this jump starter connect to any battery but it also can recharge personal devices on the go. But wait, there’s more!!!  Besides being a charger and jump starter it is a 100 lumen led flashlight with 7 light modes, including S.O.S. and emergency strobe. It even comes with a small bag to store it in. Put this in your car and hope you don’t need it!

Told you this list was all about what you need and a bit about what you want. Now we all know that the top of our lists include sleep, all of the laundry done, a quiet weekend away and other fantasy items but let’s be real, most of us aren’t getting those.  At least with these, you can stress a little less and feel a little better.
