8 Entrepreneurs Under 18

8 Entrepreneurs Under 18

They say the universe returns the same energy that you put out. This year, I have been doing a lot of work in helping guide JustaBXgirl’s goals. That might be the reason that kid bosses are on my radar. It seems though that littles this year are more concerned with developing their own brands than they are with afterschool cartoons! I’m really proud that JustaBXgirl has decided to follow this trend. Find out more about her company, JustABow and seven other entrepreneurs under eighteen.

JustABow – Last year JustaBXgirl and I were talking about her fascination with Jojo Bows. I asked her, “why do you want to wear something with someone else’s name on it?” That sparked her desire to create her own hair bow line. She came up with the name JustABow and the company was born. We officially launched in December 2018. We began sourcing merchandise and launched at an indoor holiday market place. When the business launched, we had only hair bows and maybe five to six styles. Over the last few months, JustaBXgirl decided to add jewelry, hair extensions, and bow ties. She also has spoken on a few Kid Boss panels. Her goal is to one day open a brick and mortar store. For now, you can find her products right here and at local pop-up shops. You can follow along for all of her adventures on Instagram.

Ameenha Lee – This young mogul is magic. Ameenha is an author, fashion, beauty and lifestyle blogger and an icon in the making. Oh, and she has her own podcast. There’s nothing this young Queen can’t do and she knows it. If you know someone starting or in high school, make sure to pick up her book, Ameenha Lee’s High School Survival Guide.

MeBears – JustaBXgirl loves her Drago. Drago is one of four to collect in the current line. Sisters, Carmin and Sage thought of MeBears originally s drawings that they would make and share with their friends. As their drawings became more coveted, they and their mom decided to submit their ideas to Jazwings to help bring their bears to life. Jazwings is a program created by Jazwares. Now the girls’ bears can be found at GameStop!

Made by Jade – Jade is a seven-year-old baker that we had the pleasure to meet at a panel. We’ve been following her on Instagram for a while and can say we are impressed with her. Her cupcakes are so yummy and she bakes vegan options as well. Her mom is pretty cool too. Mom is a vegan chef with her own business. I’m telling you, children learn what they live. These littles are paying attention and are surpassing any lessons we can teach them. Jade’s cookies and cream option seems to be JustaBXgirl’s favorite.

Skylah Jai Williams – This little mama is an author! Yup, this child has written a book. She was bullied in kindergarten and decided to take her pain and channel it into her art. She has published her first book, The Girl And The Backpack. It’s a must-read for all children. Oh, and you can buy the book paired with a really cook bookbag so your little can have their own special book bag as well.

Tahlia and Gabby’s Bows – This fellow Bronx girl has jumped into the kid boss game by partnering up with another Kid Boss, Gabby of Gabby’s Bows. These bows are a great alternative to traditional barrettes.

ZuZu’s Lip Balm – ZuZu’s mom is a licensed cosmetologist and ZuZu used to love playing in her mom’s makeup so mom created a lip balm just for her. Now, ZuZu has a team of girl bosses working with her to get her brand out. (JustaBXgirl is one. ZuZu’s lip balm is featured in the boutique.) Since the first lip balm, ZuZu has added six additional options bringing the total to seven different lip balms. Perfect for everyone, especially those mini divas.

London’s Pink Apparel – We met London at a Kid Boss panel. She watched her mom create clothing and decided that she could do it herself. And she did just that. London is a singer, model and fashion designer.

These children are a great reminder that dreams will remain dreams unless you put them into action. They are not wasting time in making their dreams a reality. I’m so proud of each and every one of them. I’m pouring prayers and blessings over everything they touch.
