May Movie Night Watchlist

May Movie Night Watchlist

As I sat to draft this post, I realized that we didn’t have movie night every week this month. I realized that I missed it. We were caught up doing different fun stuff but there’s something about settling down at the end of the week, popping some popcorn, and snuggling up to watch a movie together that makes my whole week slow down. We did get to check out a few fun shows this month that I wanted to share while also going back and rewatching some fan favorites like Raya and the Last Dragon, Godmothered, The Winx, and Criminal Minds! You’re not here for the old though. You want to know what’s new to look for. Well without further ado, here you go!

Sesame Street: Cool Counting Collection – We were blessed to get an advance copy of Cool Counting Collection from Sesame Street. “It can help every kid” was what JustaBXgirl said when I asked her what she thinks. Sesame Street is something that we all know we can trust when it comes to our children. This is great for all those littles that are learning to count and love their friends from Sesame Street.

The Upshaws – I watched the entire first season in one night. I was extremely tired the next day but didn’t regret one moment. This is one of the best sitcoms that I have seen in ages. The cast works so well together you almost forget that they’re acting! The plots are both hilarious in how they’re played out while also being super realistic.

Dog Gone Trouble – The movie is all about a dog named trouble that needs to find his way home but if you ask me the squirrels stole the show! JustaBXgirl and I really enjoyed watching this during movie night. She actually gave it a 9 out of 10. It had some really good messages in the middle of the laughter. And did I mention it has Snoop Dogg as a dog?! Snoop in a kids movie being…well, Snoop!

Disney Parks Sunrise Series – I don’t know how to meditate but I will say that this is an awesome series for those of you that do meditate. If you’re like me though, you can still enjoy it. I’m all about the Disney magic and this series feels like it brings the park magic directly into your home via Disney Plus. I feel such peace watching the sky change against some of my favorite sites. JustaBXgirl sometimes uses this to fall asleep to. It is that peaceful!
