If you didn’t know by now, it’s almost my birthday. This year, I was hoping to be starting my celebration in Disney, with that leading to a friends celebration where I did something that embraced having spent a full year in my forties and culminating with a chill relaxation celebration in my cousin’s backyard.
Blessed to still have the relaxation celebration as an option but thanks to current conditions, I won’t feel comfy with any of the others. That doesn’t mean that me, other birthday persons, graduates, and dads want to forego our chance to be celebrated. It just means that it has to look different.

Birthday Shirt – How better to commemorate what will hopefully be a once in a lifetime experience than with a t-shirt? I also designed a few others for pre-k graduates and first graders ZOOMing into second grade. Family Game Night Gift Crate – This is everything! I’m sure that you know that we are all about GAME NIGHTS. It has also been one of my favorite ways to celebrate my birthday in the past. Usually, it would be at a bar with lots of imbibing or in my living room with lots of yelling and more than likely not rated E for everyone. This year though, it will be spent at home with JustaBXgirl and JustaBXgrandpa so candy and soda sound like the perfect partners to game night fun. And the crate is GORGEOUS. It is perfect to store all of our card games.
Single Mom Success Planner – If you’re anything like me then birthdays make you reflective. I spend a lot of time thinking about where I am, where I’ve been, and where I want to go. Couple that with the state of the world right now, I have been really trying to define what I want to be when I grow up and how that can serve others. I mentioned in my IG stories that I wanted this book and one of the amazing people in my online village ordered it for me! I can’t wait to use it to help me be and do better.
Fresh Bagel Delivery – Soooo, if you love me then you know I love to eat. And I’m not talking about just a little. I like sweets but my love language is definitely carbs over candy. While the candy crate is perfect for game night, this box is perfect for all day long! Who says bagels are just for breakfast? They came so fresh and soft that I have to admit the box arrived yesterday and is halfway finished today! Don’t judge me, order me another one!
A favorite movie is always a win when looking for a gift that says you know the person that you are buying for. I still remember going after school with friends to see Selena. I wasn’t very familiar with Selena prior to the movie but the music and story made me fall in love with her kind-hearted soul. Last month, Warner Bros. released the movie for the first time on blu-ray so it is perfect timing to get it for someone that loves the movie or to introduce it to someone that has never seen it before!
