Let me start this month’s watch list by saying that there are way too many streaming services available. I just can’t keep up and my wallet doesn’t want to. This month alone I will be sharing what we watched on Netflix, Disney Plus, HBO Max, Peacock, Youtube, AND on DVD! How many streaming services do you subscribe to at this point? Did you cut the cord and cable and now become suffocated by streaming services? Do you still purchase films? I do my best to limit my suggestions to the most popular but sometimes something special comes up and I can’t help but include it! I had thought about including Into The Heights on this list too since it did stream for a few days this month but after doing more than one post on it I figured that you have seen it already.
The GLO Show (Youtube) – This web series debuts tomorrow July 17th but the anticipation has been building for months! The series is based on the upcoming GLO-UP GIRLS doll line. You know we are excited about them. Each doll is passionate about something and the girls in the series literally bring the dolls to life! Tune in every week to check out the new episodes.
Boss Baby: Family Business (Peacock) – This movie was so funny. I enjoyed the original Boss Baby but this was sooooo much better! Tina completely steals the show and is the perfect Boss Baby giving dad and uncle a run for their money.
A Cinderella Story: Starstruck (DVD) – I’m sure you saw on Instagram how we celebrated this film’s DVD release. This is was the perfect movie night pick for me and Justabxgirl. This is the sixth film in the series and might be our favorite. Finley is easy to love as our current Cinderella. Be prepared for lots of laughs watching Finley and “Huck” on the screen.
Jellystone (HBOMax) – When I saw the press release for this series I was reminded of my love of all things Jellystone. Yogi and friends are back for new adventures. Anyone attending Comic Con at Home will be privy to a sneek peek! I’m jealous.
Space Jam: A New Legacy (HBO Max) – My brother might be more excited about this than my child. We are waiting for him to come over so we can watch it for a family movie night. He better hurry though because from all the online reviews that I am seeing I want to watch it ASAP.
Wish Dragon (Netflix) – We watched this a few weeks ago and I laughed and cried. This movie was filled with magic (literally) and messages. It was a wonderful reminder to appreciate all that we have. It was a really fun movie and also led to some wonderful conversations around what we would wish for and what we value in life.
